Annu Kapoor Films was founded by Mr. Annu Kapoor in the year 2010. It started as a vision to contribute to the world of cinema and storytelling. Initially, the company explore various facets of filmmaking, experimenting with different genres and formats.

AKFPL made a successful Doordarshan National channel show 40 plus ' slice of life’ A story of people over forty, tracing their angst, frustrations, emotions, ambitions, dreams and struggles. The show takes the viewers through the experiences of a few such men, that are ' realistic' and ' heart touching' so much so that, every person in the audience would relate to their emotions portrayed in this daily
show called 40 Plus
First musical talent hunt show exclusively for the Children for SABe TV. Some of the prodigies who are famous now like Rahul Vaidya, Nihira Joshi, Abhijeet Sawant etc were discovered by AKFPL and only show SUNIDHI CHAUHAN co – hosted along with Mr. Kapoor. Big celebrities like Sanjay Dutt, Govinda, Madhuri Dixit, Rishi Kapoor, Yash Chopra, Amrish Puri etc started coming as a celebrity guests on television show for the first time only because of the personal relations of Mr. Kapoor
